🍓CONVENTIONAL Vs ORGANIC🍓
We all know how delicious strawberries can be. But what we don't know is that conventional strawberries are full of agrochemicals. Agrochemicals are substances used in agriculture to protect crops against insects, fungi, weeds and other pests. These poisons and repellants can harm more than just its initial targets, and by that I mean us, humans!
Conventional:
-Uses chemicals and fertilizers for plant growth.
-Reduce pests and disease through spraying chemicals.
-Use injected growth hormones and antibiotics to stimulate growth of plants, prevent disease and increase yield. -Use toxic fumigants for soil health.
♦️
Conventional Strawberries are mostly not fully red, super big or even have mutations.
Organic: 😍
-To reduce pests and disease they use insects, birds, organic mulches, vinegar and essential oil herbicides. -Natural fertilizers like manure & compost are used to stimulate growth.
-Methods like crop rotation, hand weeding and mulching for weed control.
-Use natural mulch for enhancing soil quality.
♦️
Organic Strawberries are fully red, heart-like shaped and super sweet!
♦️
Growing organic strawberries is an adventure, especially because of the absence of agrochemicals to accelerate the process. By buying organic foods, you are supporting the farmers that dedicated their love and attention to what you are now consuming. Its always better to have quality over quantity and mostly if it benefits our health!
